Would you also like to admire the beauty of nature in Kempen on a canvas? You can do this at the Emile Van Doren museum. The Brussels landscape painter discovered picturesque Genk along with hundreds of others in the nineteenth century. He named his villa with workshop - looking out onto the Molenvijver - ‘Le Coin Perdu’. Now at the villa you can discover the surprising story of the artists' village that Genk became between 1840 and 1940. Good to know: regular temporary exhibitions are held.
