Italian hot spots in Genk

Real Italian food? Genk is the place to be. Striking coal in the local underground turned Genk into a cosmopolitan melting pot. The coal mines attracted lots of Italian workers – and their families – to Genk.
They brought along their rich culinary heritage, which still fl ourishes today, by way of the city’s many Italian supermarkets and restaurants. Many products – tomatoes, cheeses, meats, wines – are still imported to Genk directly from Italy.

It’s near impossible to cram Genk’s abundance of Italian hot spots onto one map, but nevertheless – this is a good start.
