You can already spot the Botta building from the Westerring – on Jaarbeurslaan, opposite the Limburghal and right in the middle of the Xentro service zone. The X symbolises the intersection of services and activities in the building.

Xentro consists of various buildings and totals 35,000 m2 of office space and 26 underground parking spaces. The first building houses the companies Atalanta, Stebo and P. Cornudus & Partners, among others. Microsoft also has its offices here – temporarily, until it will be able to move into Thor Park.

The Mario Botta building has 7 floors and is instantly recognisable by its rounded exterior. This shape allows the entire building to take in natural daylight. Mario Botta, the renowned Italian architect, used a steel frame for his design, to which 22,000 red terracotta tiles were attached.

Architects BURO B – who built the penthouse – adapted Botta's plans to Belgian standards.
