The Winterslag garden district was the heart of the mine’s physical and social network. Sister Marie-Josephe was an integral part of this. She nursed the sick, cared for the weak and listened to everyone’s problems. The powered bicycle she rode around on earned her the nickname 'Jefke Tuf'. Follow in her wake around the garden district.
