With more than 400 shops and 60,000 m² of shopping fun, is Genk a wonderful Limburg shopping city. And if the weather is bad, just visit one of the three indoor shopping centres.
Shopping centres
Shopping 1 is legendary: Belgium's very first indoor shopping centre opened its doors back in 1968. Even when the sun is shining, it is worth taking in the atmosphere. In the meantime, the complex has been revamped with lots of new shops.
More shopping jitters? In the shopping streets between Shopping 1 and City Hall, you will find gems of boutiques and shops.
Bars and restaurants
After shopping, take a break in one of the many cosy restaurants and cafés. If the weather is nice, enjoy a terrace.
Parking
Our underground car parks have relatively low parking fees. In the Shopping 1 and Shopping 3 car parks, you can park for free for one and a half hours. Staying in the city centre for longer? Then you can park for free within walking distance on Europalaan near Molenvijverpark and in the Limburghal car park. More info on parking can be found here.
